I am very happy to announce that we have funded the development of a vocational training school outside of Arusha, Tanzania. The project is headed by New Life Band, a Christian ministry that is committed to enriching the lives and communities in Tanzania. Thanks to a generous sponsor the band will be visiting America in September and October of 2009. They'll be playing at Elim Lutheran Church in Petaluma and we'll give them the check for $810 along with funds earned from the congregation.
James tells me that they'll be using the money to put a roof on the second floor. Thank you so much to each of you that have helped build this school. When I visit the site I will post photos of the work you have helped to complete and the people whose lives you have helped to change.
